The Engaging Experience Philanthropy Network was launched in December 2009 by Dame Stephanie Shirley, the British Government’s Ambassador for Philanthropy. The EEPN was set up as a way to inspire and connect interested professionals with opportunities to apply their skills to charitable benefit. Network members come from varied professions including finance, law, HR, management consultancy, media and the public sector as well as representatives from intermediary charities.
Network events are held every few months, at The Bulldog Trust headquarters in Two Temple Place. At the events individuals who are interested in using their knowledge and expertise to benefit the charitable/not- for-profit sector are given the opportunity to meet and be inspired by those who are already doing so and connect with exciting charities and social enterprises.
Events consist of a series of short presentations from charities and talks from high profile, varied speakers. The Trust keeps in regular email contact with members and utilises its extensive contacts within charitable and social enterprise organisations to assist in matching members to suitable projects or causes e.g. trusteeships, strategy projects, marketing advice etc.
